if that...then a good idea would be advertising at places where ppl are interested in korean/asian culture and torrent sites/p2p ....like hmm maybe "soompi" or "d-addict" forums?
....although i wonder if that would be too much exposure?

Yeah, this thread is dead. Feel free to tell friends about the place, but I wouldn't go around posting threads advertising the site. As a former site admin, I hated when people did that.

^^ well ... i guess if there was a conflict of interest it wouldn't be appropriate ... but hmm i don't think the forums i mentioned are similar to this one.....

but anyway that is the easy way of advertising :P

The only problem with advertising on Soompi or even D-addict is for every 1 active member we get, we will also get like 20 other members that post once or twice just for the purpose of asking for invites or info on torrent sites.

Nope, I mean the international section. Well, a few of the members are different, but there as a time when the same three posters were posting on here and on this other [private] forum. Was pretty funny.

You're on Soompi? I remember taking a gander at the site a few years ago but I decided not to join because of the incredibly high userbase. I'm also assuming that most of the users are "weeaboos" or "faps".

Well in some areas that true but for the more niche areas where i lurk (Mainly the Infinity Challenge/무한도전 Thread) they are all very knowledgeable and active

I also used to help out in some of the clubbox tutorial thread but i got sick of people not reading through previous posts before asking questions so i moved over to the IC thread

as for the fact that there aren't many users here..or that the same users post elsewhere :) .. unless we are very annoyed with each other :P it shouldn't matter much...but hopefully more users would come here

@lordbordem : u have a point about how advertising would probably get unwanted publicity which is why recruitment should be an active and picky process ... but that is too much trouble i guess :/ ... or just we could advertise then ban 60% afterwards lol

If only we had the power to ban people in this section of the forum, but none of us are mods here
