New to Bittalk I like to reopen this topic since last time it went well just hoping this
time its okay again if you are new here and afraid to make a new thread because
you feel its not that important but just want to share your news or thoughts to everyone
then you come to the right place or if you have questions you want to ask come here
and ask away or just want to chill and talk randomly and meet everyone im hoping this

Sadly im not but i would give anything to be Korean also Im doing really

Hi Oppa today is new years day there is really nothing special thing to do today
since mall is close and my sisters are still sleeping i think im just going to clean
the house today and go study Korean heh

Need to solder some connectors on a few ground wires (for a preamp), also going to work on computer some and also work on learning korean. ;)

It's a day of ordinary routine life like most people. Nothing new nor different.

I got plenty times to learn some languages recently. So, I made my mind to learn another language except English. Sort of boring repetition work days after days.

Let me guess. Maybe I'm a new comer in this thread.

Why do you come to this forum? For learning Korean if not, obtaining some materials you want?

As you know, this forum contains materials only related to Korean stuffs. These are very hard for you to understand if not Korean.

momo007 you are very right why do i come here if i dont know Korean sadly and i cant
read the section on this forum the answer is i do want to learn Korean and i do hope that
anyone can teach me if its possible aside from that when i came here people were very
welcoming and i really like that and even if i cant understand what you guy and girls write
i love to surround my self with people that are Korean or people that admire Korean

And i dont come here to gather Korean materials i mostly came here to meet people

if this forum isn't for talking about torrent related material, wouldn't it start to become superfluous? right now, I think that the Let's Learn Korean thread is the only thing we've got to offer here. :(

I am quite astonished at your saying. It's just amazing that you could feel the atmosphere of this forum though you hardly know Korean. You seem to really like Korean things. Was there any chance to be familiar with Korea?

I hope you were kidding, princess. admiring other people's culture or language is one thing, but proclaiming that you would give anything (...ANYTHING?) to be them is a bit too extreme imo.

BUT if it was possible that i became Korean i would want my dad and
mom and sisters to be Korean as well because im very close to them
and i would want them to still be my family heh

so it looks like your admiration for korea is amazingly huge and i gather that you want to learn korean as well. are you currently in an environment where you could learn from people around you? (school teachers, classmates, friends, etc.)

another question, i've always wondered how non-korean people even become a part of this community. i'm not trying to be racist or exclusive here. just curious how non-korean user has come to join here. for instance, there seems to be virtually nothing that indicates that this is a community targeted primarily for koreans (or anything). i might have missed them but i didn't see any inviting signs in english that could lure non-korean members here on this site.

I have a couple of aussie friends who love korean culture.

One of them went extreme and decided to live in korea for a year. She never wanted to come back but has, probably because of her family and studies etc.

Princess i don't know how you got into this korean culture but i hope you really don't mean it when you say you will give up everything to be a korean. Try telling this to your parents - will they be so understanding? Wouldn't they get hurt because their son/daughter wants to become someone that they are not?

I'm not saying this in an offensive way. I hope you understand. You were born as what you are for a reason.

I have nothing against non-koreans loving the korean culture, nor do I have anything against non-koreans wanting to learn and integrate korean culture into their lives. In fact, it gives me a big smile on my face whenever I see an aussie trying to speak korean, or telling me how great korean food is etc. However, I personally believe it is completely wrong for someone to give up everything just to be able to become a korean.

I'm sure princess didn't mean it literally when she (i assume?) said it. She just sees korea very favorably and kudos to her for it.

I'm no fan of any nationalism or patriotism but It certainly makes me feel good when non-koreans show interest in korea like princess does.
