900+ Private Trackers Online in 2010 (FSF), Posted 10/01/12, 07:52 AM #1
After reading a news post on TorrentFreak yesterday in reference to BREIN’s unsubstantiated claim to having been responsible for the shutdown of nearly 400 torrent sites in 2009, our first though was - could this be somewhat factual? Do we have 400 dead links pointing to now-defunct trackers here at FSF? Possibly so; having indexed torrent trackers for more than two years now throughout countless articles. But don’t give BREIN too much undue credit - the fact is, most private trackers go offline on their own accord rather than being threatened into doing so.
Nonetheless, we ransacked through just about every private tracker indexed on FSF (including the removal of 150 dead trackers from the Trackers List page) and easily found in excess of 900 trackers still online. We weren’t all that surprised to find that today’s stats are nearly identical to the number of active private trackers from nine months ago in April 2009.
Due to WordPress limitations, we had to remove the URL links. For this, we recommend the Linkification Add-on for Firefox - it will convert these text URLs into clickable links.

Trackers listed here include self-help sites, personal improvement & documentaries.

Pretty much self-explanatory.

Sites listed here include wrestling, MMA, motorsports, racing, extreme sports, etc.
Miscellaneous Trackers

A list of all other trackers that don’t fit anywhere else. Magic, radio, comics, conspiracy theories, spiritual.
Desi/Bollywood Trackers

Anime/Raws/Fansub Trackers

Some of these anime trackers may be public.
General Trackers

Everything else is listed here. Brackets indicate native country/language. Some are subdomains. Trackers with less than 50 torrents were left off the list.

I can't believe that site has a published list of private trackers. They're private for a reason.

lol...I didn't notice I am in the international talk section until finding out the posts you guys wrote. cuz, its main topic is about simple tracker info.
given that number of trackers, you could not taste every bit of tracker.
just one or two trackers represented in each genre can meet all your needs.
so, the other trackers...who cares..?

i think FSF doesn't post urls to trackers who ask to remain anonymous...but some trackers really welcome the publicity on occasions...

The thing is, most "private" european/american trackers aren't actually private. They are there to become famous. The real private trackers will stay private. Not infuriating at all when a lot of the trackers listed in their post are really public. I mean, they're not private if you can find them easily, right?

the real private trackers? A private tracker need peers (people dl/up) so never totally private...there are few secret communities but they are just forums/bad activy on tracker now.

Well there are private topsite trackers and i am quite sure they are quite private
These obviously don't need peers thou because they run the shares off some quite large pipes
